Elaeis guineesis

Palm oil contains and equal proportion of unsaturated acids and oleic acids. It is a natural source of Vitamin E and also a very rich source of beta-carotene. Palm oil is physically and chemically different than Palm Kernel Oil and should not be considered similar. Palm oil makes a nice hard bar of soap when used in combination with other oils. It is less water soluble and resists melting. Palm oil will speed up the soap making process.

Sustainability Statement

The supplier is working closely with the growers to aim at enviromental sustainability and a members of the RSPO which stands for Rountable for Sustainable Palm.  This programme is designed to encourage Palm Oil producers to conduct their livliehoods in a sustainable and responsible manner.

We at Aromatics are on one hand encouraging our customers to make antural envirnomentally freindly soap but however on the other hand the use of Palm has attracted alot of public srcuitany recently.  Hand-made soap makers only use a  small percentage of palm in their soaps.  Soap without palm oil is like a cake without sugar.  Hand made-soapers are not the only users of palm oil and once put in perspective we use only a small percentage of Palm resoruces.  If we really care about our environment we should also be looking to minimise the copius amounts of food we eat with hidden palm and the copius amounts of cleaning products also with palm oil.
