Cypressus sempervirens

(M-BF5) steam distilled leaves and twigs from France, Deodorizing, Astringent and Comforting. This oil was prized and precious to Egyptian beauticians because of its preservative properties. The clarifying scent of Cypress is calming and grounding.

APPLICATIONS: Its dry woody scent makes it a popular addition to deodorants and aftershaves. It has astringent properties and is useful for increasing blood circulation and relieving swollen limbs associated with varicose veins. In a bath or massage oil it is useful for the treatment of fluid retention and swollen ankles in a foot bath. In is useful in skin oils for mature skin types to tighten skin, reduce enlarged pores and protect capillaries. It has invaluable refining properties in skin care products.
